“8AM is a task lamp constructed simply of braided electric wire. The flexible wire, once passed thru an aluminum clamp, undergoes a “change of state,” elegantly transforming into the structural body of the lamp itself. Following the simple construction method, the 8AM task lamp is also powered on/off in an elegant manner. By touching the aluminum clamp, the user is able to trigger the ever-increasing levels of light output. This simple system consisting of a wire and a clamp, can take on various forms to fill the home, office, or lobby with a pleasant wash of light.”

“We all know the Snooze button. The Snooze button was first marketed in 1956 by General Electric-Telechron. The Snooz-Alarm. (Hey, it’s the 50th anniversary of the Snooze button! Where’s the parade?) Telechron made a wide variety of clocks from about 1917 until 1959, merging and unmerging with General Electric along the way. (Visit telechron.net for all the details.) In 1959, Westclox marketed the Drowse. Notice the separate buttons for 5 or 10 minutes. And as usual, a woman’s finger pushing it.”
1. Airbags don’t always work. Depends on the impact point. Cars don’t always explode.
2. I need an eye implanted camera to sue fuckers.
3. Getting out alive doesn’t give me an adrenaline rush. The sun was not brighter, the sky was not bluer and I was not happier. Things are way more normal and way less dramatic than people seem to think. I don’t want to die at the moment. Life is good.
4. I love paintball. I want to play.
5. My gadgets can take a lot more beating than my skin can. Anakin was smart.
Status update: I’m feeling a lot better and I’m back to work now.
