Gripe y Mega (Lisboa)

Hoy parece que estoy un poco mejor. Gracias a todos los que os habéis preocupado :). Lo que más me agobiaba de esta gripe era la posibilidad de perderme el Mega de Lisboa (sí, hablo de paintball, una vez más XD).

Irak muestra en televisión sus primeros prisioneros de guerra

BAGDAD.- La televisión oficial de Irak ha mostrado imágenes de los primeros prisioneros anglo-norteamericanos capturados por el Ejército iraquí. Cinco de ellos están vivos y al menos 6 muertos. Paralelamente, EEUU ha confirmado la desaparición de 10 soldados.

Sevilla, 23 mar (EFE).- Manuel Pimentel, ex ministro de Trabajo y ex secretario general del PP andaluz, anunció hoy su baja del partido en desacuerdo con la política ante la guerra de Irak, que califica de “ilícita” y un “error histórico”.

All across the Middle East, they are deploying by the thousand. In the deserts of Kuwait, in Amman, in northern Iraq, in Turkey, in Israel and in Baghdad itself. There must be 7,000 journalists and crews “in theatre”, as the more jingoistic of them like to say. In Qatar, a massive press center has been erected for journalists who will not see the war. How many times General Tommy Franks will spin his story to the press at the nine o’clock follies, no one knows. He doesn’t even like talking to journalists.

Robert Fisk: How the news will be censored in this war (25/02/2003)

A new CNN system of ‘script approval’ suggests the Pentagon will have nothing to worry about.

Already, the American press is expressing its approval of the coverage of American forces which the US military intends to allow its reporters in the next Gulf war. The boys from CNN, CBS, ABC and The New York Times will be “embedded” among the US marines and infantry. The degree of censorship hasn’t quite been worked out. But it doesn’t matter how much the Pentagon cuts from the reporters’ dispatches. A new CNN system of “script approval” – the iniquitous instruction to reporters that they have to send all their copy to anonymous officials in Atlanta to ensure it is suitably sanitised – suggests that the Pentagon and the Department of State have nothing to worry about. Nor do the Israelis.
