There is some leit motiv on all of these web vs brick&mortar stuff. Quoting from the third link: “This is when the buggy driver shouted ‘get a horse!’ at the automobilist.”
It’s the same stuff for blogs vs newspapers, p2p vs record companies or amazon vs bookstores. We are living the likes of an Industrial Revolution, we are in the beginning of our own 19th century and some people are just not seeing it. The future is digital, the future has no middle tiers, the future is got empowered customers. I know what do I want to spend my money on and it’s not on the record company execcutives’ wages but on the artist that makes me quiver.
Some people just have no clue, and they will be crushed. Nothing new.
